Ford Fiesta Centura
Ford isn’t a British company – even if many of us think of Ford as a patriotic buy – although they’ve been in the UK for 100 years. And to celebrate that landmark they’ve revealed the Ford Fiesta Centura, a limited edition of just 1,000 cars. Based on the Fiesta 1.25 Zetec, the Fiesta Centura gets £600 worth of extras – metallic paint (Panther Black only), chrome mirrors, 16″ alloys, auto lights and wipers, rear parking sensors, reversing camera and LED running lights – and costs £13,395 for the three-door and £13,995 for the five door.
Skoda CitiJet Concept – created by students
What you see in the Skoda CitiJet Concept (above) is what you get if you let 16 Skoda design students loose and tell them to take the CitiGo and turn it in to their ideal concept car. The Skoda CitiJet – which will be joining the SEAT Ibiza Cupster and Audi A3 Clubsport at Worthersee – took six months to create and gets its roof removed as well as its back seats – where there are roll-over bars instead – a rear wing twin exhausts and 16″ alloys with red brake calipers lurking beneath. Under the bonnet sits the regular 1.0 litre 3-cylinder petrol engine with 74 bhp you’ll find in the normal CitiGo, and the interior is lifter straight out of the CitiGo Sport so there’s red stitching to make everything look a bit more ‘sporty’, a leather steering wheel and Sport seats.
The first photo of the production-ready Ford B-Max
Ford has released the first picture of the new B-Max, which will debut at Geneva in March, a year from the debut of the B-Max Concept. The Ford B-Max is a long overdue replacement for the Ford Fusion, the one car in Ford’s range that is way past its sell-by date, and was shown as a concept at the Geneva Motor Show in 2011. Now, one year on, the Ford B-Max is to debut in production guise at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.
